Doctors interacted with parents while conducting health check-ups  

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar – The Indian Medical Association (IMA), Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar branch, successfully conducted its fifth community healthcare camp under the social initiative “IMA Connect” at Vihang School for Special Kids.  


The core message of IMA Connect is, “We will reach out to those who cannot come to us.” Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Anupam Takalkar said that the project aims to provide healthcare services to special children, senior citizens, and the underprivileged in their own settings.  

Earlier, under this initiative, health camps were successfully organized at Matoshree Old Age Home, Aarambh School for Autistic Children, Bafna Blind School, and Bhagwan Baba Girls’ Orphanage.  

At the Vihang School camp, a complete medical examination of special children was carried out. Doctors conducted general health, skin, and nutrition check-ups and provided necessary advice. Teachers and parents received detailed guidance on hygiene, diet, and daily care.  

Interaction with parents:  

After the camp, doctors held an interactive session with parents. Parents shared their children’s health-related concerns and queries. Doctors provided simple, practical advice on diet, sleep, behavior, and hygiene management.

Speaking to the media, IMA President Dr. Anupam Takalkar said:

For special children, the elderly, and the needy, IMA Connect has become a compassionate movement. Through this initiative, doctors are proving themselves as true well-wishers of society.”  

Dr. Datta Kadam stated:  

“Our goal is to ensure that healthcare reaches those who need it most. When doctors step forward for society, the true essence of healthcare comes alive.”  

Secretary Dr. Yogesh Lakkas said:  

“IMA Connect is a living bridge between doctors and society. This initiative reflects the true spirit and beauty of the medical profession.”  

The IMA Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar branch’s initiative has received appreciation from all corners. The IMA Connect project has strengthened the bond between the medical fraternity and society.  

Through this initiative, doctors’ sense of social responsibility has been highlighted, and healthcare is truly reaching every section of society.
